    Job Overview: Buyer position within our Supply Chain program, working to procure parts as needed. This is a customer facing position – candidate will be required to meet with the customer regularly to ensure the quality and delivery meets and exceeds the customer’s expectations. Work requires the natural ability to easily develop positive, customer-facing, working relationships with engineers, buyers, and program management at both the OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and supply base levels. Essential Job Functions: Create Requests For Quotations and Purchase Orders as requested by the customer Utilize part drawings and specifications as needed, as well as review of customer priority and need of each part to ensure timely delivery Follow an established process, with close attention to detail Organize needed drawings and inputs following established organizational system Create project status report to show project status and health on a weekly basis, with possible additional status communication as requested by the customer Secondary Job Functions: At QuEST, we often challenge our team members to temporarily work outside the scope of their primary job functions to broaden their skills and help the organization. Some of these roles and opportunities include: Support QuEST’s Project/Team Leaders and Program Mangers regarding execution and closure of statements of work or projects Develop/Enhance work instructions to implement best practices / lessons learned and ensure repeatability of tasks Execution within multiple services Technical Leadership and Technical Review Cross-functional teams Quality Management and Continuous Improvement Qualifications B.S. or higher Exposure to the Update industry is highly preferred SAP and Team Center experience is preferred Proficiency with MS Office, particularly MS Excel, required Physical Requirements & Work Environment: Examples: Mostly Office Environments. Occasional Shop Floor involvement Substantial amounts of telephone and computer work. Heavily Regulated Industries with strict adherence to procedures. Flexibility to meet business deadlines by staying late or arriving early. Typical 8 hour days plus lunch / 40 hour weeks / core (required) hours are 9 AM to 4 PM Ability to use personal transportation to visit customer locations. Due to the nature of the work, all candidates must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident.
